Blondey for Burberry Murals, September to December 2017

Having been cast as a model in the Autumn 2017 campaign for Burberry’s iconic trench coat, Blondey became acquainted with then-Creative Director, Christopher Bailey, who commissioned him to make a mural in London’s Clerkenwell to promote Here We Are – an exhibition of British photography to coincide with Bailey’s last show at the helm of the fashion house. Curated by Bailey, Lucy Kumara Moore and Alasdair McClellan, Here We Are was on display at the Old Sessions House – also the Autumn/Winter 2017 Burberry show space – from 18th September to 1st October.

Following this, Blondey was commissioned by Burberry to create three Christmas-themed murals in New York City – in Flatiron and Soho – on display throughout November and December 2017.

The painted murals were created in Blondey’s signature collage style and featured an array of images and motifs, from the famous Burberry check to pots of tea.
